THIS IS THE SET-UP MOST OFTEN FOUND IN THE LAND ROVER GS AND GP TRUCKS, FFR and NON FFR VEHICLES. This set was used for ground to ground communications, mobile and fixed and was the main unit for the infantry. It was the backbone of infantry communications on and off the battlefield. It has a good range across open countryside. It covers 30Mhz to 76.975Mhz with 25Khz channel spacing and 4 Watts output.

This auction is for a UK RT 320 PACK-SET A PRC320 HF 30 Watt Manpack set. The radio is far better in appearance than the sets generally available. It has been tested and is working perfectly in all modes of operation. It is mounted on a (V/Good) lightweight Para carrying frame and harness, it also comes with a GOOD SERVICEABLE NiCad battery, GRADE 1 AS NEW AUDIO GEAR, HEADSET AND PRESSEL SWITCH UNIT, PLUS A NEW 2.5m FOLDING ANTENNA. It also has a used 12watt SURF unit attached, it works perfectly but lets the appearance down a little so for an extra £40 I will swap it for a brand new/recon/refurbished  one, if required.

I have just received some GS manpack carriers with some adapter plates to fit the 320 so I can now supply these radios on a GS carrier and ready to clip in to a Land Rover or vehicle of your choice. I can also supply the vehicle mounting bracket as pictured in one of my other sales for a PRC352 clip in set-up.

It covers 2Mhz to  30Mhz with 30 Watts RF output.  Modes of operation are AM, CW (wide) SSB (upper & LOWER) CW (narrow). MANY OF THESE SETS WILL GO ON TOP BAND EVEN THOUGH IT IS OUT OF SPEC

This auctio is for a Marconi Clansman UK RT353 50Watt FM base station setup, all has been tested and is working OK. The setup consists of >  a 353 radio in very good condition, a GRADE 1 as new handset,  headset (with boom mic) and pressel switch. A good EVHF broadband antenna system, head unit, (AKA The Pineapple) 3 antenna elements for head unit, 60 foot of low loss co-ax and 20 foot of standard co-ax with a coupler C type to BNC type. This broadband antenna will cover and is usable on any frequency the 353 can go to (30 to 75.975MHz) without the use of a matching unit. Modes of operation are Narrow/Wide Tone/ Narrow Tone/ Narrow Data/ Wide Data. A military grade AC mains power adapter 10amp, with input and output cables. The output is switchable 14v or 28v DC.

This was the standard Hand-held radio of the British army, part of the "Clansman" series of "RACAL" radio equipment. This set has been tested and is bang on spec and frequency.

The PRC-349 is a VHF/FM radio with a frequency range is 37 to 46.975 MHz in 25 KHz steps providing 400 possible channels and a maximum output power of 1/2 Watt. Frequency selection is by small thumb wheel switches on the side of the radio. Has Clansman compatible squelch and whisper modes of operation with battery saving function. Operates from 9.5 to 16v DC using AA batteries or rechargable NiCad batteries.

It comes with the standard headset with a throat mic and mini pressel switch, 0.65m rubber base loaded whip antenna, battery cassette, carrying pouch, all used, working and servicable, plus  a GS Tote bag with straps for the ancillaries.

The PRC-349 is an VHF/FM transceiver intended for personal communication in combat conditions. The radio is designed to be fully compatible with the existing range of Clansman VHF equipment, 350-351-352-353 etc.
The radio can be mounted on the shoulder, chest or back with adjustable quick release straps and holster. It can also be carried inside a back pack or on a belt mounted holster, or simply the pocket of a combat jacket.

 Intended for platoon level personal communications under combat conditions. Protection from open or short circuit and receiver overload is inbuilt. A battery saver function is in automatic operation during no-signal conditions.
