This was the standard Hand-held radio of the British army, part of the "Clansman" series of "RACAL" radio equipment. This set has been tested and is bang on spec and frequency.

The PRC-349 is a VHF/FM radio with a frequency range is 37 to 46.975 MHz in 25 KHz steps providing 400 possible channels and a maximum output power of 1 Watt. Frequency selection is by small thumb wheel switches on the side of the radio. Has Clansman compatible squelch and whisper modes of operation with battery saving function. Operates from 9.5 to 16v DC using AA batteries or rechargable NiCad battery.

It comes with the standard headset with a throat mic and mini pressel switch, 0.65m rubber base loaded whip antenna, all used, working and servicable.

The PRC-349 is an VHF/FM transceiver intended for personal communication in combat conditions. The radio is designed to be fully compatible with the existing range of Clansman VHF equipment, 350-351-352-353 etc.
The radio can be mounted on the shoulder, chest or back with adjustable quick release straps and holster. It can also be carried inside a back pack or on a belt mounted holster, or simply the pocket of a combat jacket.

 Intended for platoon level personal communications under combat conditions. Protection from open or short circuit and receiver overload is inbuilt. A battery saver function is in automatic operation during no-signal conditions.

THIS AUCTION IS FOR A GENUINE MILITARY ISSUE PRISMATIC MARCHING COMPASS. MADE BY ??  T G Co ltd  London  ???. IT  HAS IT'S SERIAL NUMBER ON THE BACK AND THE YEAR 1942. THIS ONE HAS AN ADDITIONAL STICK ON LABEL WITH 12B ON IT. THE UNIT IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER.  THIS ONE APPEARS TO HAVE SEEN PLENTY OF USE AND IS STILL COMPLETE APART FROM 2 MISSING SCREWS FROM THE GLASS PROTECTOR AND SECURING RING IN THE LID.

I CANNOT TELL IF THIS IS A WET TYPE OR NOT, I CANNOT TELL IF IT HAS AN INTERNAL FLUID OR NOT AND AS IT WORKS AS IT SHOULD I WILL LEAVE IT AS IT IS.

THESE EARLY ONES ARE ALL MADE FROM SOLID BRASS CASTINGS AND PLATE, THEY ARE NOW BECOMING QUITE RARE COLLECTORS PIECES.

This auctio is for a UK RT320 HF 30 Watt (PEP) Manpack set, complete to CES. The radio is fair to good in appearance. It has been tested and is working OK. It is mounted in a lightweight camo radio Bergen  and the ancillaries are in the attached Kipling day sack or zip on side pouches. It comes with a serviceable and charged NiCad battery, the rest of the ancillary kit is used, tested and working fine. It is to CES which is, a solar shield, headset and pressel box, handset with pressel, morse key, antenna goose neck and 2.5m whip antenna, dipole centre juction and long wire antenna (Dipole), 60 foot of co-ax (approx), battery extension cable, respirator mic and  antenna counterpoise. The Bergen and attached sack/pouches are in good usable condition. There are no rips or tears anywhere on the Bergen or bag.

Covers 2 to 30MHz  AM, CW, LSB, USB at 30w PEP.

This auctio is for a PRC320 HF 30 Watt Manpack set, complete to CES, MODES OF OPERATION ARE AM, CW (W) SSB (upper & lower), CW (N). The radio is fair to good in appearance. It has been tested and is working OK.
