CLANSMAN PRC352 COVERT OPS OR LONG PATROL SETUP

THIS IS THE STANDARD INFANTRYMANS PLATOON LEVEL RADIO THAT FORMED THE BACKBONE OF THE COMMUNICATIONS IN THE BRITISH INFANTRY, PART OF THE CLANSMAN FAMILY OF RADIO EQUIPMENT. THIS SET HAS BEEN TESTED AND IS BANG ON SPEC AND FREQUENCY.

The PRC352 is a VHF FM radio with a frequency range of 30 to 75.975Mhz in 25Khz steps giving around 2000 available channels, and a maximum output of 4 Watts RF, or 20 Watts when driving the 20 W RF amplifier. Frequency selection is by small thumb wheels on the side of the radio. It has Clansman compatibale  squelch and whisper mode of operation with battery saving function. Operates from 19 to 30v DC  using rechargeable batteries, or the hand cranked generator. This setup also does away with the need for the use of solar shields in desert and tropical deployments.

This setup I'm told was designed so that the Radio Operator  wasn't such an easy target to spot by a sniper, using this setup and a trailing wire antenna along with a single ear piece headset with a throat mic and mini clip on pressel he would be harder to spot as a radio operator and so less of a target.

This set comprises of a NEW and GENUINE RUCKSACK CARRYING SYSTEM with an add on full size Kipling ancillary pouch or 2  zip on rocket pouches, a PRC351 radio with a 4 Watt SURF tuning unit, a 20 Watt RF Amplifier, the addition of which now makes this a PRC352, a hand cranked 28v generator and 1x 4Ah and 1 x 1.1Ah serviceable rechargeable batteries.

All of the ancillary equipment is GRADE 1, new or as  new, 1 x new 0.65m Rubber flexible and 1 x new 1.2m folding steel and a new 1.2m trailing wire antennas,1 x new single ear headset with throat mic and mini clip on pressel, 1 x as new lightweight pattern headset with boom mic, 1 x as new pressel switch and lead, 1 x as new standard handset.

Both RF connecting leads, radio to SURF and radio or SURF to Amp, both used and in perfect working order.

The setup also includes a full GSA Kit (Ground Spike Antenna) for use with the 20 Watt RF amp.

The PRC351/2 is a VHF FM radio set intended for platoon and personal communications under combat conditions. It is designed to be fully compatible with all the Clansman VHF radios, PRC349/350 and VRC353.
